a woman | an island | the moon
2017-2020
These circular paintings or tondos are like windows, portals, or worlds that lead into or contain the absurdity of the events they depict. The circle, saturated color, and pattern allow me to explore and allude to metaphors for isolation and belonging, relationships and identity, boundaries and openness, hope and hopelessness, home and homeland.
